Execution Preferences

Return to Introduction  Previous page  Next page

Execution Preferences let you specify defaults to use when executing scripts (ie. generating diaries).

Run-Time Messages : Your administrator has the option of disabling some or all of the design-time and/or run-time messages generated by Q++ for all users  (see Personalizing Q++ Messages). If you are not an Administrator you cannot disable messages which your Administrator has chosen to leave enabled. However, you can ask Q++ to issue all the design-time and/or all the run-time messages specifically for you. This is useful if you are the prudent type, or you are dealing with a particular Script where a given message is useful.

Execution Options Defaults : Use this to set defaults for the execution options displayed when you execute a Script.

Offer to save OPF of new Scripts in : Some people prefer to have Q++ generate output files in one common directory, some prefer each output file to be in the same directory as the GridTemplate used for the main DiaryGridLine of the Script. Use this option to state your preference. You can refuse the proposed directory on a case-by-case basis, at any time.

Weekly Minical Bands (also delete grouped objects) : If this option is checked, any object grouped to a weekly minical band will be always deleted when the band is deleted, even if the token uses the lowercase form of [mcw.XXX]. This option is available for backwards compatibility, but you should use either w or W in the Weekly Bands Minicals tokens to achieve this effect on a case-by-case basis.
